Q: What is the process on how to apply for consideration as a vendor?

A: Vendors can e-mail about their interest at: vendors@fresnogreekfest.com

(The e-mail is active generally from April – August.) In the e-mail, be sure to

include your name, address, & phone number.  Also include what type of

items you sell, pictures of your products or web site where they can be

viewed, price range of the products, references/names of other events where

you have sold your products, and any other information you feel is

necessary.

Q: What is the time frame for becoming a vendor?

A:   Generally, contracts are sent out to former vendors first in April to

confirm their attendance.  Then, beginning approximately in mid-

May, based on available spots and the type of products other

vendors sell, new vendors are offered a contract to join the

Greek Fest vendor team.

Q: What type of vendors are we looking for?

A:  Our vendor area is a Greek-styled “agora” shopping area. We typically have

vendors who sell products such as:  religious items, jewelry, ceramics,

clothing, children’s items, home décor, honey, soaps & lotions, sea salts,

hats, t-shirts, candles, purses, original paintings, hair accessories,

olive wood figurines, nesting dolls, Tupperware, embellished wine glasses,

belly dancing attire, bedding items, kitchen items, lamps, accessories,

photos (at photo booth) and more!    Many of the products come from Russia,

Egypt, Armenia, Bethlehem, and of course, Greece.

 

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: weapons, knives, swords

or any replicas, any explosive devices, alcoholic beverages, tobacco

products, and any other products not legally allowed for sale in Fresno.

 

When we add new vendors, we look for vendors to compliment the other

vendors and ones who can offer new variety to our guests. Please note,

our vendor area is not for commercial-type vendors such as solar companies,

insurance or other businesses, or food vendors (hot dogs, tacos, cotton

candy, etc.)

Q: How much does it cost to rent a booth space?

A:  Single booth: $600, double booth: $1100, triple booth: $1,500.  For an

additional $100, you can request one of the limited “Premium” spots which

means a booth that has one open side (end spot or with a 10 ft. gap between

you & the next vendor.) Payment can be made in full or in two payments with

final payments due by mid-July.  We accept cash, check, money orders, and

credit cards. Also, for $100, your name, logo & hyperlink can be added to our

FGF website to advertise your booth.   After full payment & paperwork is

received it will be displayed and continued through 30 days after the festival.

Q: What does the Greek Fest provide for vendors?

A:   The Greek Fest provides 10 x 10 tent for each space, 8 ft. long tables

(3 max. per booth), chairs (2 per booth), lights, power (20 amps max), 2-

110v outlets, general festival area security, and an enjoyable weekend!

Q: What do vendors need to provide?

A:   Any personal needs for their booth such as signage, credit card processing,

tablecloths, etc., plus meals (food & beverages are available for purchase at

the festival).

Q: What are the expectations of the vendors?

A:  Vendors are to submit all required paperwork and payment by deadlines

given. Vendors must have booths completely set-up and any vehicles moved

off the grounds by 3:00 on Friday of the event. Set-up can be done the day

before, as well. Booths must be staffed monitored, and open for

business during all hours of the festival. Festival hours are: Friday 4:00 pm –

midnight, Saturday 11:00 am – midnight, and Sunday 11:00 am– 6:00 pm.

Teardown is done after 6:00 pm on Sunday or it can be done on Monday

morning, if special arrangements have been made.   Vendors are also

expected to clean up their booth space each night and discard all garbage

in trash receptacles. Vendor staff are to be kind and courteous to

all festival guests, other vendors and Greek Fest staff.

Q: If I am offered a contract to participate in the festival, what do I need to submit?

A:  Vendors must submit the Vendor Booth Rental Application/Agreement forms,

proof of liability insurance naming St. George Greek Church and the Greek

Community of Fresno, Inc. as additional insured (available through your own

insurance company), and payment.
